The Edward Boot in Lodensuede from Charles F. Stead is the perfect business casual boot. What exactly is loden? The color's name comes from the German Loden, a course thick woolen fabric. While in the original German, Loden does not necessarily refer to a color, due to the wool of the mountain sheep, the color tends to be an earth color—somewhere between green and brown. TheLodensuede paired with dark chocolate welts and edge stain makes for a sharp, plain-toe boot.
The Edward boot has larger quarters and slightly differentdetails, such as smaller hardware and an extra eyelet, creating a dressier feel than the Diesel.
